Rockland Jewish Family service honored four volunteers who have given their time and support to the agency over the years.
The brunch, held Sunday, Dec. 11 at the Rockleigh Country Club in Rockleigh, N.J., recognized the hard work and dedication of Abbie Bard, Rabbi David Chanofsky, Roberta Leitner and Philip Teplitzky. In addition, the organization paid a memorial tribute to Michael J. Rosen, a member of the organization’s board of directors, who died a

year ago. Rosen served as the board’s treasurer, helping to steer the sometimes struggling organization onto a sounder fiscal path.
The brunch also highlighted some of JFS’ recent programming for those on the autism spectrum. Participants in a summer internship program, who gained life skills working at local organizations such as the Jewish Federation of Rockland County and JCC Rockland, spoke about their positive experiences.
