Join Beth Am Temple’s 40th Tu B’Shevat celebration featuring a Seder, Shabbat service recognizing all scouts and an Oneg on Friday, February 7th.
Beth Am religious school students will lead the seder beginning at 6:15 pm. All attendees are asked to bring their own dinner, no pork or shellfish products are permitted. Special foods grown in Israel will be provided including dates, figs, oranges, and grapes, along with beverages.
Each family and individual attendee is asked purchase at least one tree to plant in Israel at the special reduced price of $10.80. The tree donation can be in honor of or in memory of a loved one. Order forms will be available at the seder and can be submitted February 2nd through February 9th at the special rate. The regular cost per tree is $18.
All temple members and the general public are welcome to participate in the seder and asked to RSVP in advance to [email protected] with the number of people attending.
After the seder, religious school students will help lead the 7:45 pm Shabbat service, which will also be a Scout Shabbat. Current and former girl and boy scouts will be recognized during the service which will be followed by a festive Oneg Shabbat.
