CSI Nyack is commemorating HIAS annual Refugee Shabbat with a visit from an extraordinary young Afghan couple, Farhad and Farzana Anwarulhaq, who fled Afghanistan in late 2021 and recently resettled in upstate N.Y. Join us for a special kiddush lunch after services during which we will bear witness to their harrowing story of escape with nothing but the clothes on their backs. We will learn about their lives in Afghanistan and experiences of what life has been like since arriving in the U.S.
