About our speaker: Meir Yaakov Soloveichik (born July 29th, 1977), is an American Orthodox rabbi and writer. A descendant of the Dynastic, Rabbinic Soloveichik family, he is the son of Rabbi Eliyahu Soloveichik, grandson of the late Rabbi Ahron Soloveichik and the great nephew of Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik, the late leader of American Jewry who identified with what became known as Modern Orthodoxy.

Rabbi Dr. Meir Y. Soloveichik Graduated summa cum laude from Yeshiva College, received his semikha from Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, and was a member of its Beren Kollel Elyon. In 2010 he received his doctorate in religion from Princeton University. An eminent authority on Jewish Theology, Bioethics, wartime ethics and Jewish-Christian relations. Rabbi Soloveichik has lectured throughout the United States, in Europe, and in Israel to both Jewish and non-Jewish audiences. His essays have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Commentary, First Things, Azure, Tradition and in the Torah U-Madda Journal, a prestigious academic publication which has gained international acclaim. 

In August 2012, he gave the invocation at the opening session of the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida.
