Rabbi Michael Lerner, mentored by Abraham Joshua Heschel at the Jewish Theological Seminary, editor of Tikkun Magazine (recipient of "The Best Magazine of the Year" in 2014 and 2015 by the mainstream media Religion Newswriters Association), and chair of the interfaith Network of Spiritual Progressives, has been a prophetic voice in the Jewish world for the past 50 years. He won the MLK, Jr./Gandhi Award from Morehouse College for his work on behalf of peace and non-violence. He is the author of 11 books. He was chosen by Muhammed Ali to represent the Jewish community at Ali's memorial in 2016. 

At 6:00 PM on Fri, Oct 20 join us for a catered Kosher-style dinner ($18 per person). Please RSVP to Jolie Levy. After dinner at 7:30 PM, Rabbi Lerner will join us for our Erev Shabbat Service followed by a special Oneg. Saturday morning he will lead our Taste of Torah program at 9:00 AM and give a sermon at our Morning Shabbat Service at 10:30 AM. Following Shabbat service there will be a Community Luncheon at the CEJJES Institute in Pomona (approx. 12:30 PM).
