Anti-Semitism in Rockland: Important Update

Dear Federation Supporter,

We know you're concerned about the alarming rise in anti-Semitic activity taking place in recent months. We appreciate community members reaching out via phone and email to share their thoughts with us, and we wanted to let you all know that Federation is here for you.

The Jewish Federation & Foundation of Rockand County is in regular contact with local law enforcement, to ensure they are planning appropriate actions, should any bomb threats or further acts of anti-Semitic hate be directed at the Rockland Jewish community.

We are in regular contact with our partner agencies and the Rockland Board of Rabbis' synagogues, maximizing communications and sharing best practices, to safeguard our institutions and membership.

Federation is also communicating with our national partners, including Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA), the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and others, to be certain we are acting in accordance with established protocols and "doing the right thing" for our community.

In addition, we are in almost daily contact with local government officials, representatives and members of congress, to make them fully aware of the scope of what we are experiencing.

Fighting anti-Semitism in all its forms is part of Federation's core mission. We ask that you consider donating now to support our efforts and keep the Rockland Jewish community vibrant, thriving and safe.

If you would like to learn more about Federation's efforts in fighting anti-Semitism, please don't hesitate to e-mail or call.

Thank you,

Gary Siepser, CEO
Lisa Green, President
Robert Silverman, Campaign Chair
Steve Gold, Chair, Community Relations Council
