High Holiday Connections

The Rockland County Board of Rabbis’ synagogues welcomed a number of new congregants at  5778 High Holiday services. Thanks to the Jewish Federation & Foundation of Rockland County’s High Holiday ticket bank, dozens of community members connected with synagogues and attended services with free High Holiday tickets.

In total, 69 free tickets to High Holy Day services were issued this year, to individuals and families who have not been members of a Board of Rabbis synagogue for the past two years. Since the program began in 2013, 340 tickets have been awarded, connecting hundreds in our community with local synagogues.

Rita Cohen, a 2017 ticket recipient, was extremely pleased with the program. “My daughters and I attended a wonderful service at The Reform Temple of Rockland. The congregation was warm and friendly. We met people we haven’t seen in years.”

The ticket bank is a program of Federation’s Rockland Jewish Initiative (RJI). For more information on the Rockland County Board of Rabbis' synagogues, download the brochure.
