Sometimes we have an opportunity to demonstrate our love and solidarity and we maybe think - someone else will show up. There will be lots of people there. I don’t have to go. We tell ourselves that we are less needed, less important to a cause, less involved.
It’s not true. You are involved. By virtue of identifying as part of the Jewish people, we all are.
Our family was shattered a year ago.
Our family was tortured, burned, raped, butchered, and taken hostage.
Our family was driven from their homes.
Our family was wounded in ways that will never truly heal.
Our family is standing on the front lines right now, defending our homeland from the existential threats around it.
Our families here in the USA and around the world are the target of hate and violence from all sides.
It involves us all. And all of us are needed to confront the malice, the evil that has risen up against us.
You have an opportunity to stand up. With your friends. With your community. With your people.
With your family, where you are needed.
On October 7th, at 7 pm, our Rockland community will gather in all of its diversity to commemorate one year since the attacks of October 7th, 2023. Details are in the flyer below. Registration is mandatory.
Now is the time to stand with your family. Register today.
