Capacity Building and Emergency Relief
Emergency relief is critical, especially in times of escalating warfare and the continued attacks on Israel since October 7th, 2023. After our highly successful effort to provide relief in Ukraine in 2022, we pivoted our focus to Israel. Over the past year, our community has contributed over a million dollars in relief aid through Federation’s Emergency Appeal. Israel relief focuses on helping all Israelis - jews and non-jews - in distress, including providing security, maintaining critical welfare services, securing housing for refugees, delivering food and medical supplies, providing education and trauma counseling.
Our support and funding goes to legacy and start up organizations in Israel, including the Israel Trauma Coalition, JDC, Magen David Adom, ChaM’L centers across Israel and many others.
